NCERT – The full form of NCERT is the National Council of Educational Research and Training

The NCERT is an autonomous organization that undertakes, promotes and coordinates research aimed at qualitatively improving school education. It prepares and publishes model textbooks and supplementary material, newsletters, and journals. It also develops educational kits and multimedia digital materials. 

The second key activity of the council includes organizing pre-service and in-service training of teachers, as well as developing and disseminating innovative educational techniques and practices.

To achieve its mandate, the NCERT collaborates and networks with state educational departments, universities, NGOs and other educational institutions.
