The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the NID DAT (Prelims) 2026 exam on December 21 ( 10 am – 1 pm).
On the day of the exam, you need to report to the NID DAT 2026 exam center at 8.30 am, with your admit card and a photo ID proof. You will not be allowed to enter the exam center after 10.30 am (Gate closing time).
So, be punctual and carry all necessary documents, including the NID DAT 2026 admit card.
Also, note that you must preserve (and not dispose of) the admit card. The signed and sealed admit card will be required if you apply for a recheck of NID DAT 2026 (Prelims) results.

| Preserve the admit card | Any rechecking request will not be processed without a scanned copy of the admit card signed by the invigilator and with the seal of the exam center. So, if you lose the signed/ sealed admit card, you will not be able to apply for a recheck (if required). Further, the admit card may be required for future admission processes. |
Instructions for AILET 2026 Exam
- AILET 2026 Exam Date and Timing: December 14 (2 pm – 4 pm)
- Reporting Time: 8.30 am
- Last Entry: 10.30 am
- Document Checklist: You need to bring the following documents – 1) NID DAT 2026 Admit Card, 2) Valid Photo ID proof.
- Additional Photographs – Keep a copy or two additional photographs just in case.
- Stationery – You must bring including pencils, erasers, cutters, etc.
- Water Bottle – The candidate is allowed to carry a transparent water bottle.
- Barred Items – Communication/ electronic devices like Digital Watch, Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphone, Pager, Health Band, Ear Bud, Calculator, etc., are prohibited inside the exam hall. You are also not allowed to carry notes, books, or any form of written material.
- Impersonation and use of unfair means, like cheating, could lead to disqualification.
