NID DAT Application Form 2026 – The National Institute of Design (NID) is expected to release the application form for NID DAT 2026 in the 1st week of September 2025. The application form will be released online at admissions.nid.edu. Candidates who meet the prescribed NID DAT 2026 eligibility criteria must apply before the last date.

To apply for the exam, you need to register and create an applicant account. Then log in to the applicant account to fill in personal, academic, and contact details. Also, upload documents, select a NID DAT 2026 exam center, and pay the exam fee. NID DAT 2026 application fee (open category) is INR 3,000.
The candidate can choose their program of STUDY when registering for the exam. NID-participating colleges currently offer B.Des and M.Des courses.
The NID DAT 2025 entrance exam will be held around the 1st week of January 2026.

How to fill out the NID DAT 2026 application form
The application form for NID DAT 2026 will be available online at admissions.nid.edu. The stepwise application form filling process is explained below.
- Online Registration – To start the application process, click on the “Registration” tab. A registration form will open, where you need to fill in the program of study, name, email ID, mobile number, and date of birth. On successful registration, an application account will be created.
- Log-in and fill out the form – Using the applicant log-in credentials, log-in to the candidate account and fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
- Select an exam city – The list of NID DAT 2026 exam cities will be given in a drop-down menu. Select your exam city.
- Upload documents – You have to next upload documents, including signature, photograph, etc., in the given format.
- Pay the application fee – Finally, pay the application fee to complete the NID DAT application form filling process.

NID DAT Application Form 2026 – Exam Centers
The candidate will have to select an exam city when filling out the form. Note that there is no option to directly select any specific exam center.
In fact, the allotment of NID DAT 2026 exam centers will be done based on the candidate’s address and the exam city opted by them. The name and address of the exam city allotted will be mentioned on the NID DAT admit card 2026.
