Honours and MajorIn FYUGP, you get a Bachelor’s Degree with Major after 3 years and a degree with Major & Honours after 4years.

Progression:
If a student exits the FYUGP after 3 years, she will need to take admission into the first year of a Master’s program, which is a 2-year degree program. However, if a student fully completes an FYUGP, she needs to take admission into the second year of a Master’s programme and needs to complete only one year to get a Master’s Degree.

Handique Girls’ College Admission Process

The program-wise admission process for Handique Girls’s College is given below:

Higher Secondary Courses – Admission Procedure

  • Registration –  Applications must be submitted through the DARPAN Portal. In addition to registration in DARPAN, the candidate must register in the Handique Girls’ College Admission portal dcs.hgcollege.in/hgc/student/register and fill up the online admission form, and upload a passport size photograph. A PDF of the filled in form will be generated and printout of this must be submitted on the day of admission. Note: Keep DHE Unique ID ready.
  • Preparation of Merit Lists – Provisional merits list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in Class 10. 
  • Mode of admission: The list of selected candidates will be generated in the DARPAN portal. When reporting for admission, you must produce all the academic documents, caste certificate, EWS certificate, income certificate, if any, in original.

Documents required for registration:

a) Recent passport size photograph.

b) DHE Unique ID

c) Mark sheet of Class X Board Examination.

d) Caste certificate(if applicable)

e) Disability certificate from the appropriate medical authority for applicants in the

PWD category.

d) Front page of the bank passbooks having account no., branch and IFSC code.

e) Domicile certificate.

f) Permanent address proof.

g) Candidate seeking admission against the seats reserved for Extra-curricular category

(NCC, NSS, Sports, Art and culture)must submit one best certificate acquired in the last

3 (three)years.(if applicable)

BA, BSc, BCA, B.Com, BCA – Admission Procedure

  1. Admission will be conducted as per NEP 2020 guidelines for FYUGP under Gauhati University.
  2. Candidates who apply through SAMARTH Portal, https://assamsamarth.ac.in, will only be considered for admission.
  3. Merit List – Will be prepared based on the marks secured in the 10+2 examination. The merit lists will be made available on the college admission portal.

Documents – Candidates seeking admission must produce all the academic documents, caste certificate, income certificate (if any), in original during offline admission.
