JEE Main Cut-off 2025 – The NTA has released the minimum percentile a candidate needs to score in JEE Main 2025 to qualify for JEE Advanced 2025. The cut-off has been released category-wise. The JEE Main 2025 qualifying cut-off is the highest for the unreserved (UR) category at 93.1023262 percentile. A total of 97,321 candidates from the unreserved category qualified for JEE Advanced 2025.

Meanwhile, the total number of candidates across all categories who qualified for JEE Advanced 2025 stands at 250, 236.

NTA released the JEE Main 2025 results for Session 2 on April 18, 2025. The JEE Main 2025 exam is conducted in TWO sessions – January and April. 

Note that the qualifying JEE Main 2025 cut-off is not the admission cut-off. Candidates meeting the qualifying cut-off are merely eligible for appearing in the JEE Advanced 2025 exam.

The admission cut-off will be released by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). JoSAA 2025 counseling will be conducted around June 2025, after JEE Advanced 2025 results are declared.

JoSAA Counseling 2025

The counseling process for JoSAA will be conducted online at josaa.nic.in. Candidates who have qualified in the JEE Main 2025 and JEE Advanced 2025 exams will be eligible to participate in the counseling.

As part of the JoSAA 2025 counseling registration process, candidates need to fill in their choices of academic options. There is no registration fee for JoSAA 2025.

However, if the candidate is allotted a seat, they need to pay a fee of INR 5000 as processing fee. 

Basis of JoSAA 2025 seat allotment:

The seat allotment during JoSAA counseling will be based on the following factors:

  • The merit rank of the candidate in JEE Mains 2025 or JEE Advanced 2025
  • Category 
  • The academic and college options selected by the candidate
  • Availability of seats 
  • Any other admission rules mentioned in JoSSA 2025 Business Rule document.
