Factors affecting AIBE 2024 Cut Off
The cut-off for the AIBE XIX exam will depend on multiple factors, including the following:
- Minimum qualifying criteria for AIBE
- Total discrepancies reported by candidates
- Total number of discrepancies verified and rectified by BCI
- How many questions dropped/ deleted
The various factor that can change the AIBE cut off mark is explained in detail below:
Factors affecting AIBE cut off | Description |
Qualifying marks | The category-wise cutoff marks are: General/ OBC category – 45% marks out of total marks SC/ ST category – 40% marks out of total marks |
Discrepancies in the AIBE XIX answer key | If any errors/ discrepancies are observed in the answer keys, the candidate has the option to file objections. The BCI will consider the objections, and if required may delete/ drop a question (s). If any question is dropped, then the AIBE cutoff would get affected. For example, in AIBE 16 XVI, FIVE questions were dropped and the paper was evaluated out of 95 marks. In AIBE 13, two questions were dropped and the paper was evaluated out of 98 marks. In each of the above two cases, the cut-off marks also got affected(or got reduced). |
Total discrepancies rectified by BCI | BCI verifies the objections raised by candidates and if the objections are found valid it takes action accordingly |
Total questions removed from AIBE question paper for evaluation of results | The cutoff marks will be affected if any question is dropped from the final result evaluation. If any question is found to be incorrect by the BCI, it is dropped. For instance, five questions were dropped from the AIBE 2021 final answer key. Consequently, the evaluation was done out of 95 marks (instead of 100 marks) The cutoff marks were also impacted as it was decided out of 95 marks. |
