CLAT Answer Key 2026 (OUT) – How to Download, Submit Objections, Final Key

CLAT Answer Key 2026 – NTA released the provisional answer key of CLAT 2026 on December 10; objections against the provisional key were accepted from December 10 (5 pm) to December 12, 2024 (5 pm). 

The answer key has been released alongside the CLAT 2026 Question Booklets.

The direct link to download the answer key and question booklets are provided here. CLAT 2026 exam was conducted on December 7, 2025.

The provisional answer key-cum-question paper has the following sections:

a. Appendix I (4 Sets of Question Booklet for CLAT 2026 of UG);
b. Appendix II (4 Sets of Provisional Answer Key for CLAT 2026 of UG);
c. Appendix III (4 Sets of Question Booklet for CLAT 2026 of PG); and
d. Appendix IV (4 Sets of Provisional Answer Key for CLAT 2026 of PG)

The candidate can use the provisional keys to calculate probable scores and assess their chances of admission. Meanwhile, you can file objections, if any, on the Consortium website.

The updated and final answer key of CLAT 2026 will be released after considering complaints filed by candidates.

In the previous edition, after reviewing the challenges submitted by candidates against the provisional answer key and question paper, the NLU Consortium withdrew four questions in the Logical Reasoning section. The evaluation of the CLAT 2025 UG paper was done out of 116 marks in place of the originally announced 120 marks.

How to download the CLAT Answer Key 2026 

Both the provisional and final answer keys of CLAT 2026 will be released online at the NLU Consortium exam portal.

To download the answer keys, the candidate needed to follow these steps:

1. Go to the NLU Consortium exam portal – Click Here
2. Next, Click on the “CLAT 2026” option
3. There, under the notification option, you can find the link to download the provisional and final answer keys.
4. Click on the Answer Key & Question Paper download link.
5. Note that no log-in credentials are required to download the CLAT answer keys.
6. On clicking on the answer key link, the pdf version of the answer key will be displayed.
7. Download the answer key.

How to calculate probable scores using CLAT Answer Key

Like discussed above, the answer key released by the consortium will contain the official keys (or answers) to questions asked in the CLAT entrance exam. Follow these rules to calculate probable scores using the answer key:

1. First calculate the total number of correct attempts
2. Then follow CLAT 2025 exam pattern for allocating marks to each correct attempt
3. Tally the marks
4. The total marks is your probable score
5. You can also consult the CLAT cut-off to see your chances of admission based on the probable score.

Note that the final score may vary a bit in the final score in some cases, for instance if a question has been dropped or withdrawn (like it has happened in CLAT 2026).

CLAT Answer Key by Unofficial Sources

The answer key released by the NLU Consortium is the official version.

However, before the release of the official answer key, unofficial answer keys are released by institutes like Resonance, Law Prep Tutorial, Success Mantra, Career Launcher, etc.

However, unlike the official version, the unofficial answer key may or mayn’t contain the correct keys (as accepted by the consortium).

So, the candidate must only rely on the official key released by the NLU Consortium.

How to Challenge the Provisional CLAT Answer Key

The window to challenge the Question Booklets and Provisional Answer Keys for CLAT 2025 will likely be available from 4 pm, December 8, to 4 pm, December 9, 2024.

To submit challenges, the candidate has to follow these steps:

1. Go to the CLAT exam portal
2. Log-in to your CLAT account using your candidate credentials
3. Click on the ‘Submit Objection’ button.
4. Select the Question Booklet set, ‘Type of Objection’, i.e., ‘About the Answer Key’ or ‘About the Question’, as appropriate
5. Select question number, enter your objection details and click on ‘Submit Objection’.
6. Once all your objections are submitted, click the ‘Make Payment’ button to make payment
7. Pay a fee of Rs. 1,000 (per objection). If the objection is found to be valid and sustained, the fee will be refunded/ remitted to the same account from which it was paid. 
8. Submit the form.

Note that objection(s) received through email, support tickets on the website or phone calls will not be entertained.
