CLAT Result 2025 – The bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela of the Delhi High Court, who was hearing petitions challenging the CLAT 2025 results, has directed NLU Consortium to revise the marksheet and republish and renotify final selected candidates in 4 weeks.
Consortium of NLUs had earlier declared the results of CLAT 2025 on December 7, 2025. However, a series of cases were filed in various courts challenging the conduct of the CLAT 2025 exam, result, and CLAT 2025 answer key.
The CLAT 2025 exam was conducted on December 1, 2025.
On April 9, the Delhi High Court had reserved its judgement on petitions involving the CLAT 2025 results. It also stated that hearing on petitions related to the PG results will be taken up on May 2 (postponed from April 21).
Interestingly, in a serious admonishment of the NLU Consortium, the court advised the consortium to “have better paper setters in the future” so that the current state of affairs could be avoided.
During the CLAT 2025 UG hearing, the consortium acknowledged that one question in the CLAT 2025 question paper was “wrongly formulated.” The counsel for the consortium informed the court that the specific question was not referred to the Oversight Committee since it was already cleared by subject experts.

What if CLAT 2025 result is revised?
There is a big chance that the CLAT 2025 results will be revised. If that happens, it is going to affect a lot of candidates.
To begin with, if the results are revised, the total marks (and therefore merit ranks) of a large chunk of candidates are going to change. If the rank improves, it is of course, well and good.
But the trouble will START when candidates drop in the rankings. It will be even more painful if the drop is substantial.
After all, one candidate can only improve in rankings at the expense of some other candidate. So, the candidate who falls in the rankings will feel like they have been short-changed.
It is a bad situation when the CLAT 2025 results are now at the mercy of our courts. We can only hope that things will get better hereon.
But the NLU Consortium really needs to up its game and gain the confidence of the student community so that the CLAT exam regains its glory.
