Shri Pradhan added, “We remain committed to make learning student-centric and personalised, improve learning outcomes, address the unique requirements of our diverse student community as well as empower students and educators.”
The committee reviewed detailed presentations on integrating AI into both school and higher education. In school education, focus areas included curriculum reforms such as age-appropriate computational thinking, AI literacy from foundational stages, project-based learning, and the formal introduction of AI as a skill subject at the secondary level. Key national digital tools showcased included DIKSHA 2.0, e-Jaadui Pitara, Guru-Mitra, the TARA app, My Career Advisor, and Vidya Samiksha Kendra, all aimed at personalised learning, teacher support, and real-time assessment.
In higher education, discussions centred on AI-enabled curriculum updates in centrally funded institutions, integration of skill-based and interdisciplinary courses, and strengthening infrastructure for advanced learning and research. These interventions aim to build future-ready graduates, foster innovation within higher education institutions, and ensure global competitiveness and inclusivity.
The consultative committee’s work reflects a strategic push to harness artificial intelligence across India’s education system in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
