May 4, 2025 – New Delhi: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2025 will be conducted today in 552 test centers nationwide. Organized by the NTA, the exam will determine admissions into undergraduate medical and dental programs in government and private institutions.

NEET is one of India’s most competitive medical entrance examinations. Over 23 lakh students have registered for the exam this year.

The NEET 2025 test will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm in pen-and-paper mode, with strict guidelines in place to ensure fairness and security.

Candidates are advised to arrive at their examination centers with their NEET 2025 admit cards, a valid photo ID, and following the prescribed dress code. The NTA has also issued advisory instructions to avoid the use of barred items such as electronic gadgets, metallic objects, and wallets inside the examination hall.

Security has been heightened at examination venues, with biometric verification, frisking, and CCTV surveillance in place. Additionally, several states have deployed additional personnel to ensure smooth conduct of the exam amid ongoing summer heatwaves.

Preliminary answer keys are expected to be released within a week, with results tentatively scheduled for the first week of June.

NEET remains a critical gateway for aspiring doctors in India, with seats in MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other allied medical courses hinging on candidates’ performance in today’s examination.
