NIFT Exam Centers 2026 – City-wise List, Reporting Time, Exam-day Dos and Don’ts

NIFT Exam Centers 2026 – NTA is expected to conduct the NIFT 2026 written exam in a center-based mode in 91 centers across 81 cities across India. The exam will be conducted in Hindi and English mediums in Computer Based Test (CBT) / Paper Based Test (PBT) mode.

NIFT 2026 written exam will be conducted around the 2nd week of February 2026.

The candidate has to select their choice of NIFT 2026 exam city when filling up the NIFT 2026 application form. The name and address of the exam center allocated to the candidate will be mentioned on the NIFT 2026 admit card.

On the day of the NIFT 2026 exam, the candidate must report at the exam center at least an hour in advance and follow NIFT 2026 exam-day guidelines. Note that latecomers will not be allowed inside the NIFT 2026 exam center. Also, they had to bring their admit card and a valid photo ID proof.

Candidates who qualify in the written exams (STAGE 1) will be eligible to appear in NIFTEE 2026 (Stage 2) exam, which will comprise a situation test/ personal interview.

The Situation Test for the B.Des program will be conducted in 18 cities across Bharat in an offline mode and assess the candidate’s ability in model construction, material handling, creativity, and innovation. The candidate will be provided an window to select their choice of NIFT exam center or campus.

NIFTEE 2026 Written Exam Timings 

The NIFT 2026 written exam will be conducted around the 2nd week of February 2026. The program-wise exam timings are given below.

Can I directly select an exam center for NIFT 2026?

You cannot select an exam center directly.

Instead, you have to select an exam city from the drop-down menu.

Note that an exam city can have one or more exam centers. The allotment of NIFT 2026 exam centers will be based on factors like:

• Address of the candidate 
• The exam city selected by the candidate
• Number of exam centers in the chosen city
• Seat intake for these exam centers

How to check NIFT 2026 Exam Center 

The details of the exam center allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the NIFT 2026 admit card.

It will contain the name, address, and exam center code.

In addition, the admit card will contain the NIFT 2026 exam center reporting time, exam timings, and exam-day guidelines.

On exam day, the candidate must reach the exam center at least an hour in advance, as there are registration, frisking, and other formalities to be completed. 

Also, make sure that you strictly follow NIFT 2026 exam-day guidelines.

Can I change NIFT 2026 exam center after it has been allocated?

Requests for a change in the exam center is not entertained once it has been allocated.

However, the candidate will be allowed to edit the exam city during the NIFT 2026 application form correction window, which will open soon after the application closes.

NIFT 2026 City Intimation

NTA will intimate candidates about the allotment of exam cities a few days before the release of the admit card.

The NIFT 2026 city intimation slip will likely be released in the last week of January 2026.

The candidate can download the city intimation slip and check whether they have been allocated the city they have selected when applying for the exam.

If there is any anomaly, the candidate needs to contact exam officials and get it rectified.

NIFT Exam Center 2026 – Situation Test & Personal Interview

The NIFT 2026 results of the written exam will be used to shortlist candidates for the 2nd stage of the NIFTEE 2026 entrance exam – Situation Test (B.Des) and Personal Interview (B.F.Tech).

The Situation Test will be conducted in an offline mode at various campuses of NIFT 2026 participating institutes in June 2026. The candidate will be given the option to select their preferred NIFT 2026 exam center (or campus) for the Situation Test.

The details of the exam center allocated to the candidate will be mentioned on the NIFT 2026 admit card (note that separate admit cards will be issued for the situation test; the admit card issued for the written exam were accepted an an entry pass for the situation test.

On the day of the exam, the candidate must report to the exam center with the admit card and a valid photo ID proof.
