CAT Exam 2025 – IIM Kozhikode declared the results of CAT 2025 on December 24, 2025. The link to check the results is provided below.

To download the CAT 2025 scorecard, log-in using your CAT 2025 ID and password.

The scorecard-cum-result sheet includes details like the sectional and overall score, and the merit rank. The merit ranks will be considered to shortlist candidates for CAT 2025 counseling.

The final answer key of CAT 2025 was released on December 17, 2025. The exam conducting body has notified that it received a total of 187 objections across the three shifts, out of which one objection was accepted. The CAT 2025 answer key objection window was open from December 8-10. The provisional key and candidate response sheet were released on December 4, 2025. The final key is prepared after considering candidate feedback.

The CAT 2025 exam was held on November 30.

The exam was held in CBT mode and 2 hours long (40 minutes for each of the three sections – VARC, DILR, and QA.). The CAT 2025 question paper included MCQs and TITA-type questions. More than 2.95 lakh candidates registered for CAT 2025. In the previous edition, out of the 3.29 lakh registered candidates, around 2.93 lakh candidates appeared in the exam.

Scores of the exam will be considered for admission to 21 participating IIMs. Additionally, more than 1000 other institutes will consider CAT 2025 scores for admission to their business courses.

CAT Exam Result 2025

The results of the CAT 2025 exam were declared on December 24, 2025. The results were declared online at iimcat.ac.in. The link to check the CAT 2025 results is given above.

Log-in to the result portal using your CAT 2025 ID and password.

The CAT 2025 scorecard includes details like sectional and overall score, and merit ranks.

List of CAT 2025 Toppers: The exam officials will also release the name of CAT 2025 Toppers at the time of declaration of results.

CAT Exam Answer Key 2025

The exam conducting body released the final answer key on February 17, 2025. The link to download the answer key is provided above.

You can download the CAT answer key using your CAT 2025 login ID and password.

The provisional CAT 2025 answer key was released on December 4, 2025. The answer keys were released for all exam slots and contain the keys (answers) to all the questions asked in the CAT 2025 entrance exam.

The answer key can be used to calculate probable or expected CAT 2025 score. For instance, first calculate the number of correct and incorrect attempts, and then using the marking scheme given in CAT 2025 exam pattern, assign marks to each question. Finally tally the marks to arrive at the expected score.

The candidate was given the option to challenge the CAT 2025 provisional answer key from December 8-10, 2025.

The FINAL answer key of CAT 2025 will be released after considering feedback given by candidates against the draft key. There will be no provision to challenge the final key. Further, the final key will be used for preparing the CAT 2025 results.

CAT Exam Counseling 2025

The counseling of CAT 2025 will be conducted starting sometime in February 2025.

CAT 2025 counseling will include a Written Ability Test and Personal Interview (WAT/PI). The final selection of the candidate will be based on the performance in the CAT 2025 written exam and WAT/PI.

Additionally, the performance of the candidate in academic field, work experience, gender and academic diversity, etc., will also be considered.

CAT Admit Card 2025

The hall ticket-cum-admit card of CAT 2025 was released on November 12, 2025. It is available online at iimcat.ac.in website. Alternatively, you can download it following the link given above.

Download it using your candidate credentials.

On the day of the CAT 2025 exam, the candidate must bring the CAT 2025 admit card and a valid photo ID proof. The admit card will contain details like the name and address of the CAT 2025 exam center, roll number, date and exam timings, and exam-day guidelines.

How to download the CAT Admit Card 2025

  1. Go to the CAT 2025 admission portal
  2. Click on the admit card download link
  3. In the log-in window that opens, enter registration ID and password
  4. The admit card will be displayed in PDF format
  5. Download and take a printout.

CAT Syllabus 2025

Candidates appearing in the CAT 2025 exam must make it a point to refer to the updated syllabus prescribed by the exam conducting authority. The CAT 2025 syllabus will include the section-wise topics candidates need to prepare the MBA entrance exam.

CAT 2025 question paper will include questions from Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA) sections.

With just a month or so left for CAT, focus on revision, accuracy, and mock tests rather than learning entirely new topics. Start by revising core concepts in Quant, especially arithmetic, algebra, and geometry as these carry high weight. For LRDI, practice sets daily, emphasizing puzzle selection; don’t try to solve everything, instead learn to identify the doable ones quickly. In VARC, read diverse passages and practice para-jumbles and summary questions to sharpen comprehension and speed.

Mocks are crucial now – take at least 2–3 per week. After each test, spend more time analyzing than attempting. Track question types you often miss, time lost on tough sets, and accuracy dips. Work on exam temperament: build stamina to sit for three hours with consistent focus.

Create a weekly schedule with targeted practice: one section daily in depth, plus a mixed mock. In the final two weeks, shift to full-length mocks and revision of error logs. Avoid cramming new, complex topics; stick to strengthening your strengths and minimizing weaknesses.

Lastly, take care of your health and sleep cycle. Stay calm and consistent – CAT is as much about strategy and mindset as knowledge.

CAT Question Paper 2025

If you are preparing for the CAT 2025 exam, make sure that you solve a good number of sample papers to go with previous years’ CAT question papers.

The previous years’ question papers will provide insights into the specific questions asked in the exam, difficulty level, specific questions asked, marking scheme, trends, etc.

These insights are very useful when preparing for the exam and will also give the candidate a reality check.

Meanwhile, sample papers can be used for improving one’s problem-solving and time-management abilities.

CAT Exam Center 2025

The candidate has to select their choice of exam center for CAT 2025 at the time of filling out the application form. The CAT exam will be conducted at over 375 exam centers spread across 174 cities.

The list of CAT 2025 exam centers has been released on the exam portal.

The candidate can select a maximum of five exam CAT 2025 cities at the time of registration. The name and address of the exam center allocated to the candidate will be mentioned on the CAT 2025 admit card. Additionally, the admit card will contain the CAT 2025 exam center reporting time and rules to be followed inside the CAT exam venue.

When preparing for an entrance exam like CAT, it is important that the CAT 2025 books are top notch.

  • These books will have very few to no errors
  • Will explain the concepts in an easy-to-understand language. On the other hand, some books may explain the concepts correctly, but sadly use such complex and advanced language that you will have to spend half your effort deciphering these phrases.

CAT Application Form 2025

Candidates who meet the CAT 2025 eligibility criteria has to apply before the last date.

The CAT 2025 registration process has to be completed online. Also, when filling out the form, use only genuine and verifiable information. CAT officials will verify all the details entered by the candidate, and if any anomaly is found, the candidate will be disqualified.

  1. Go to the official website click on “New Candidate Registration” tab
  2. In the registration form that opens, enter name, date of birth, phone number, and email ID.
  3. On successful registration, login ID and password will be sent to the candidate’s email ID and mobile number.

  5. Choose an exam city from the drop-down menu
  6. Select your choice of IIMs in the order of priority

CAT Application Form 2026 – Correction Window

The CAT 2025 application form edit window is open from October 4-7, 2025.

Using the edit window, the candidate could edit some of the particulars in the CAT 2026 application form, including photograph, signature, and test city preference.

CAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

The candidate is recommended to carefully go through the CAT 2025 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. It is because if the candidate doesn’t meet the criteria, he or she could be disqualified at any stage of the admission process.

Eligibility Criteria of CAT 2025

  • The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks or an equivalent CGPA (45 per cent aggregate for SC, ST and PWD/DA category).
  • Candidates who have completed a professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA/FCAI) with the required percentage are also eligible for CAT 2025.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification or awaiting the result can apply. However, the aggregate of their first and second year marks must meet the minimum score requirement.
  • The education mode of the bachelor’s degree can be regular or distance learning, but should be a 3-year programme and from a UGC recognised institution.

CAT Result 2025 – Important Highlights

  • Out of the 2.95 lakhs registered eligible candidates, 1.10 lakh were female, 1.85 lakh were male, and 9 were transgender candidates. Of the 2.58 lakh candidates who appeared, 0.97 lakh were female, 1.61 lakh were male, and 9 were transgender candidates.
  • Of the 2.95 lakhs registered eligible candidates, the category-wise breakup is as follows: General – 65.76%, EWS – 5.26%, NC-OBC – 17.82%, SC – 8.78%, ST – 2.38%, PwD (across categories) – 0.49%. Of the 2.58 lakhs appeared candidates, General – 65.32%, EWS – 5.59%, NC-OBC – 18.52%, SC – 8.34%, ST – 2.22%, PwD (across categories) – 0.47%.
  • IIMs will release their shortlists for subsequent admission processes based on the CAT 2025 scores and other criteria specific to each IIM’s Admissions policies.
  • 93 non-IIM institutions will also use CAT 2025 scores this year for admission into their management programs. The details of non-IIM institutions registered with CAT 2025 can be found on the CAT 2025 website. Candidates are advised to check the CAT website to ensure that the institutions to which they are applying with their CAT score are registered with the CAT 2025 center.

CAT Result 2025 – Official Analysis

The official analysis of the CAT 2024 exam results is given below.

Out of the 3.29 lakhs registered eligible candidates, 1.19 lakh were female, 2.10 lakh were male and 14 were transgender candidates. Of the 2.93 lakhs appeared candidates, 1.07 lakh were female, 1.86 lakh were male and 9 were transgender candidates.

The National Testing Agency is expected to release the NEET UG 2026 exam notification soon on the official NEET website. Going by the previous year’s schedule, the NEET 2025 notification was released on February 9, 2025, while the examination was conducted on May 4, 2025. Based on this trend, the NEET 2026 notification is likely to be issued in February 2026, with the NEET 2026 registration process starting shortly thereafter. The NEET UG 2026 examination is expected to be held in early May 2026.

NEET UG is conducted by the National Testing Agency as the single national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc and other allied medical programmes under the NEET UG.

The NEET 2026 notification will provide comprehensive information related to the examination. As per the latest updates, the Bihar STET 2025 result download link is likely to be activated by the last week of December. The Bihar STET 2025 examination was conducted from October 14 to October 31, 2025, in computer-based mode at various exam centres across the state.

Candidates who appeared for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test will be able to check their results and download the scorecard online once the link is activated. The examination was conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions at the secondary and senior secondary levels in Bihar government schools.

The National Testing Agency is expected to release the provisional answer key for the CSIR UGC NET December 2025 examination shortly on the official website – csirnet.nta.nic.in. 

The answer key will contain the official keys (or answers) to questions asked in the exam.

The CSIR NET 2025 (December) exam was conducted on December 18, 2025, in computer-based mode for all notified subjects. 

Along with the provisional answer key, candidates’ recorded response sheets will also be released, enabling them to verify their answers and calculate tentative scores before the final result is announced.

The CSIR NET examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship/Assistant Professor through the CSIR UGC NET.

CAT cut-off for admission to IIMs – If you are seeking admission to the IIMs, you must meet the CAT cut-off percentile for your category.

The CAT cut-off for the top IIMs can be in the 95-100 percentile range. 

The cut-off for General/NC-OBC category tends to be the highest at 98-100 percentile, whereas for SC/ST/PwD category the cut-off range is 94-100 percentile. Meanwhile, for non-IIMs, CAT cut-off can be 94-100 percentile.

The cut-off is determined based on factors like CAT merit rank, seat intake, total applicants, etc.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 will be conducted in a computer-based mode. The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes with a sectional time limit of 40 minutes for each of the three sections – VARC, DILR, and QA. When will the CAT Cut-off 2025 be declared?

The IIMs and top MBA colleges such as FMS, IMT, MDI, SPJIMR, and MICA will release a qualifying CAT cut-off for the WAT, GD, and PI before CAT results are declared. The qualifying cut-off is the minimum score candidates need to meet to be eligible for interview shortlist.

The candidate can refer to the previous year’s CAT qualifying cut-off to evaluate their chances of getting shortlisted for the participating college.

The qualifying CAT cut-off is the minimum score that a candidate needs to secure to be in contention for the interview conducted by the IIMs.

Or, in other words, if your CAT score is below the qualifying cut-off, you will not be eligible for the interview round.

Note the interview process includes tests like – WAT, GD, and PI.

However, simply meeting the cut-off is no guarantee the candidate will be invited for the interview. It is because the participating IIMs will release a FINAL cut-off of CAT based on applications they have received. Only such candidates who meet the final CAT cut-off will be invited for the interview round. You can better understand the concept by consulting the table below.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 was conducted in a computer-based mode. The CAT 2025 question paper included 68 questions; MCQs and TITA-type questions were asked. Application form of CAT 2025 is now closed.

CAT Syllabus 2025

CAT Exam-Day Guidelines –CAT 2025 exam was held on November 30.

The exam was held in three sessions: 8:30 to 10:30 AM, 12:30 to 2:30 PM, and 4:30 to 6:30 PM. CAT 2025 exam admit cards are OUT.

As per an official notification (released by CAT officials on Nov. 4), 2.95 lakh candidates registered for exam. To succeed in such a competitive exam, high intensity preparation is a must. But you must not overlook common mistakes that happen on exam day that can derail a well-laid out preparation ritual. For instance, if you get stuck in traffic and arrive late at the exam center, it can spike stress levels and unnecessary create tension, which is not conducive for D-day.

Like reach the CAT 2025 test center at least 90 minutes before the exam starts to complete security checks, document verification, and biometric authentication. The admit cards of the CAT 2025 has been released – You can download it between November 12-30, 2025. However, to avoid last-minute issues, make sure to download the hall ticked as soon as possible. Importantly, after downloading the admit card, check that all the details in the admit card are correct. For instance, check if the name is correctly spelled, no information is missing or blurred. If there are any issues, contact exam officials immediately and get it rectified.

What if I reach the exam centre after the reporting time?

If you reach the exam centre after the reporting time but before the gate closes, you will still be allowed entry after completing security checks – but it’s strongly discouraged as it can cause delays and stress. However, if you arrive after the last entry time, you will not be permitted to enter the exam hall under any circumstances, regardless of the reason.

Tip: Plan to arrive at least 30 – 45 minutes before the reporting time to avoid last-minute issues due to traffic, document checks, or biometric verification.

Will there be a baggage counter at the CAT 2025 exam center venue?

There will be no baggage counter, nor will arrangement be made for depositing bags and valuables inside the CAT 2025 test centre premises. Nor will CAT 2025 exam officials at the exam centre take any responsibility for any items lost or damaged.

So, make sure that you don’t carry any unnecessary stuff, or valuables, to the exam venue. Or else, you will have to ask somebody to accompany you who can look after your belongings when you are inside the exam hall.

Special Information on Religious Attire:

  • Reporting Time: Such candidates are advised to arrive at least 90 minutes before their reporting time to allow sufficient time for proper security screening.
  • Additional Frisking: The security team may conduct extra frisking in a private area, following gender-sensitive and respectful protocols. This is a standard process to ensure no prohibited items are concealed.
  • Declaration at Entry: Candidates should inform the security staff proactively about any religious items they are wearing or carrying to avoid confusion or delay.

Guidelines to Be Followed Inside the Exam Hall / During the Exam

Once you enter the CAT 2025 exam hall, it’s crucial to maintain discipline and follow all instructions given by the invigilators to ensure a fair and smooth testing process. Candidates are expected to adhere to the following rules throughout the exam:

  • Read all on-screen instructions carefully before beginning the test. These include navigation rules, marking procedures, and the time limits for each section.
  • Take your assigned seat immediately upon entry. Sitting in a seat other than the one allocated to you is strictly prohibited and may lead to disqualification.
  • Do not break the seal of your workstation or start the test until permitted by the invigilator. The exam will begin only after an official announcement.
  • Rough work must be done only on the rough sheet provided inside the exam hall. Using any other surface for rough work is not allowed. You must return the rough sheet to the invigilator before leaving the hall.
  • Toilet breaks are generally not permitted during the test. Candidates are therefore advised to use the washroom before entering the exam hall. Leaving the hall mid-exam without permission will not be allowed. In the event that a break is allowed (for genuine medical reasons), the candidate may be required to undergo re-frisking and biometric verification upon re-entry to the hall.
  • Do not attempt to cheat, communicate, or exchange gestures with other candidates. Any form of malpractice will result in immediate cancellation of candidature.
  • Follow all instructions given by the invigilators throughout the exam. Non-compliance, argument, or disruption of the examination environment will lead to strict disciplinary action.

CAT 2025 – Post-Exam Guidelines

After the CAT 2025 examination concludes, remain seated and follow the instructions provided by the invigilators to ensure orderly exit and proper verification. 

  • Do not leave your seat immediately once the timer ends. Wait for the invigilator’s announcement before logging out or moving from your assigned computer terminal.
  • After the exam ends, submit the rough sheet(s) provided to you. Ensure your name and registration number are written clearly on them before handing them over.
  • Do not attempt to take screenshots, photos, or notes from the computer screen. Such actions are treated as serious misconduct and can lead to disqualification.
  • Exit the exam hall in an orderly manner only when instructed. Avoid rushing, crowding, or discussing the paper within the premises.
  • Refrain from talking to other candidates or using mobile phones until you have exited the exam center completely.
  • Do not forget to collect your personal belongings, if any were deposited at the entry point, before leaving the venue.
  • In case of any technical or procedural issues during the test, report them immediately to the invigilator – do not attempt to fix or reset the system yourself.

How to Attempt the CAT 2025 Exam Paper

Approaching the CAT 2025 exam strategically and calmly can make a big difference to your performance. Here are some essential pointers to help you handle different situations confidently inside the exam hall:

  • Start with the easier questions: Begin with questions you find simple and are confident about. This helps you build momentum and boosts confidence early on. You can come back to tougher questions later using the on-screen navigation.
  • If you get stuck: Don’t spend too much time on a single question. Mark it for review and move on. CAT is a time-bound test — managing every minute wisely matters more than attempting all questions.
  • In case of a technical issue: If your computer freezes, the screen goes blank, or the mouse/keyboard stops responding, stay seated and immediately raise your hand to alert the invigilator. The technical staff will resolve it or shift you to another system — do not attempt to fix it yourself.
  • If the paper feels easy or difficult: Remember, CAT is a percentile-based test, not a raw-score-based one. Your performance is evaluated relative to others. So, focus on accuracy and composure rather than worrying about the difficulty level.
  • If a question seems wrong or unclear: Attempt it only if you can, and move on. The examination authorities later review and make corrections for any erroneous questions — you will receive due credit automatically if needed.
  • If you feel unwell or nervous: Stay calm and raise your hand to inform the invigilator immediately. Assistance will be provided — don’t leave your seat or the hall without permission. Use deep breathing to settle nerves before restarting.
  • If you need to use the washroom: Try to use the restroom before the exam starts, as toilet breaks are generally not allowed during the test. If there’s an emergency, inform the invigilator; permission is rarely granted and will be accompanied by supervision.

In short: Stay calm, manage time wisely, avoid panic, and follow invigilators’ directions. Presence of mind and composure often matter more than prior preparation during the two-hour test.

How to take CAT Mock Test 2025

The official mock tests for the CAT 2025 exam were released online at iimcat.ac.in. The mock test can be attempted for free. To take the test, no unique login ID is required.

The step-wise process to take the CAT 2025 mock test is given below:

  1. Go to the CAT 2025 exam portal – Click Here
  2. If the mock test is live, the mock page link will be activated. Click on it.
  3. You will be redirected to a log-in window
  4. Simply click on “Sign In” option
  5. An “Instructions” page will open. Carefully go through the guidelines.
  6. Finally, accept the “Terms and conditions” to START the mock test.
