- Download and save the answer key.
How to calculate probable scores using CUET Answer Key 2026
The NTA will release the CUET 2026 recorded responses along with the answer key. Follow the rules given below to calculate scores using the provisional answer key.
- Using the recorded responses and the answer key, calculate the number of correct attempts
- Next, allocate marks to each correct answer as per the official marking scheme
- Tally the marks
- The total marks is your probable CUET UG 2026 score.
How to Challenge the (provisional) CUET UG Answer Key
Candidates have the option to challenge the provisional answer key of CUET UG. Exam officials will consider any feedback (or objections) submitted by the candidate, make corrections to the answer key (if required), and release the FINAL answer key. Note that there is no provision to challenge the final key.
The stepwise process to challenge the CUET answer key is described below.

- Log-in to the portal using your application number and dates of birth
- After logging in, click on the “Challenge Answer Key” tab
- Select the question(s) option from the drop-down list
- Upload academic references or documents (PDF format) justifying your challenge
- Pay the processing fee of INR 200 per question. Payments can be made using Debit or Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
Note: The provisional answer key challenge window will be open for 2-3 days after its release.

Display of CUET 2026 Recorded Responses
The NTA has released the CUET 2026 recorded responses and Question Papers attempted by the candidates on the NTA website https://cuet.nta.nic.in prior to the declaration of the result/NTA Score.
The recorded responses will be displayed for around two to three days.
What is the utility of CUET (UG) 2026 recorded responses
The recorded responses, as the name suggests, is a record of the candidate’s responses in the CUET (UG) 2026 exam. So, the candidate can refer to the response sheet to verify their responses.
Next, compare your responses with the keys given in the answer key to calculate probable score.
The score you have calculated using the response sheet and answer key must be the same as the CUET (UG) 2026 score. However, if there is a discrepancy, there is a high chance NTA has incorrectly calculated your score.
In that case, you may approach NTA to make the necessary correction to your score.
CUET UG Score Calculation and Marking Scheme
The candidate must follow the marking scheme outlined in the CUET 2026 (UG) exam pattern for allocating marks to correct answers and calculate the probable score.

CUET (UG) Final Answer Key 2026
The final key of CUET (UG) 2026 will be released soon after the objection/ challenge window closes. Also, the final CUET answer key will be prepared by considering the feedback given by candidates against the draft or provisional key.
Key features of the FINAL CUET answer key:
- There is no provision to challenge the final answer key.
- The keys provided in the final answer key are officially the correct answers to questions asked in the CUET (UG) 2026 entrance exam.
- The final keys will be used to prepare the CUET (UG) 2026 results.
- The CUET answer keys (FINAL) will be released after closure of the answer key challenge window.
