NEET Exam Syllabus 2026 – The NEET 2026 syllabus has been released at neet.nta.nic.in; it was released on January 8, 2026. You can download the syllabus in PDF file following the link given below.
The NEET 2026 syllabus remains unchanged and is exactly the same as the syllabus released by the National Medical Commission (NMC) on December 22, 2025. So, you can also download the syllabus from the NMC website – nmc.org.in.
The NEET 2026 syllabus will be based on Class 11 and Class 12 syllabi with NCERT-based typically questions being asked in the exam.
The NEET 2026 question paper will be based on the given syllabus.
NEET 2026 exam has three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Zoology and Botany). The syllabus includes the topics for each of these subjects. So, when preparing for the NEET 2026 exam, strictly follow the syllabus.
Role of NMC – The NMC is responsible for making /notifying any changes to the NEET UG syllabus or pattern; it last revised the NEET exam pattern in the previous edition (NEET 2025).

How to Download the NEET 2026 Syllabus from official portal
The official NEET 2026 syllabus will be released online at nmc.org.in. To download the syllabus, follow these steps:
- Go to NMC portal – Click Here
- The syllabus will be uploaded in PDF format under the “What’s New” section
- Click on the syllabus notification
- The syllabus can be downloaded in PDF format.
NEET 2026 Exam Pattern will follow pre-COVID format
While no changes have been made to the NEET syllabus 2025, the NEET 2025 exam pattern was revised to the pre-COVID times, with the optional questions being removed and test duration restored to 3 hours (from 3 hours 20 minutes).
