AIBE Question Paper 2025 – The Bar Council of India (BCI) conducted the AIBE XX (20) 2025 exam on November 30, 2025. The exam was conducted in an offline mode and in 22 languages. The AIBE 2025 Question Paper is OUT. Download Below.

While AIBE is not necessarily a very difficult exam (that said, as per AIBE 2025 exam analysis this year paper was one of the most difficult), it is also equally true that a large number of candidates fail to qualify it. One specific reason for that is not having the right AIBE exam preparation STRATEGY.

Now what exactly should a candidate do to prepare for the AIBE exam?

Of course, the candidate needs to follow the AIBE 2025 exam syllabus and complete it. But the candidate must also solve previous years’ AIBE question papers to give more teeth to their exam preparation. You can download the previous years’ questions papers of AIBE exam below. AIBE is a certification exam, with candidates qualifying the exam being issued the Certificate of Practice (CoP). The CoP is a mandator certificate required to practice in a court of law in India.

Latest Updates:

Why should the candidate solve AIBE question papers?

There are multiple benefits of solving question papers to prepare for the AIBE (20) XX exam. The important ones are mentioned below.

  • The AIBE question papers give you a glimpse into the exact questions that are asked in the previous editions of the exam.
  • So, you can evaluate the types of questions asked, the difficulty level, and how much time it will be required to prepare for these types of questions.
  • The AIBE (20) syllabus, or for that matter the AIBE (20) exam pattern, is not enough to give a proper insight into the AIBE 2025 question paper.
  • Also, you can check if there is a particular trend that the AIBE exam follows. For instance, what types of questions are asked from the GK section.
  • By solving the sample papers you will be able to get confidence and can learn how to attempt the paper.
  • However, make sure that you don’t limit yourself to solving only previous years papers.
  • Instead, go ahead and solve as many AIBE sample papers as you can.

When to solve AIBE Question Papers

The candidate can start solving question papers as well as sample papers very early on in their preparation. For instance, after you have completed a few topics, check if there are any related questions asked in the previous edition of the AIBE exam. If yes, then solve those questions.

As you move deeper into the AIBE (20) XX exam preparation, you will be able to solve a major chunk of the AIBE question paper.

And by the time you complete the AIBE 2025 exam syllabus, you should be able to solve the entire question paper.

Also Read:

How many sample papers to solve for AIBE 2025 exam preparation

There is no upper cap on the number of sample papers you need for AIBE exam preparation 2025.

In fact, the more AIBE sample papers you solve, the better positioned you will be to do well in the AIBE (XX) 2025 exam.

That being said, it is important that the sample papers cover the entire syllabus. Also, don’t keep solving the same or similar types of questions again and again.

Ensure that you are solving all types of questions. The difficult types must be taken special care of.

AIBE Question Paper SET Codes

The AIBE exam question paper is usually set in FOUR paper codes – A, B, C, and D.

Irrespective of the paper code, the AIBE question paper will have the same questions.

But question papers with the same code (say A), will have the questions set in the same sequence. However, the question papers with different codes will have the questions arranged differently.

The AIBE question paper is set in different codes to ensure that cheating is kept at a bare minumum.

Updates on AIBE (XX) Exam

The BCI conducted the AIBE XX 2025 exam on November 30, 2025. BCI released the official notification on its exam portal – allindiabarexamination.com. The application form of AIBE 2025 is now closed.

Meanwhile, the Certificate of Practice (COP) for AIBE (XIX) 2024 exam is now out. Candidates who have qualified the bar exam can be collect it from respective State Bar Councils.

How to select the best books for AIBE 2025 exam

Here are some key features that all good books share.

  1. Well written – Read a few sections of the book. Does the language appear colloquial, easy to understand, and simply enough for you to follow. If yes, the book is suited for your purpose. If, on the other hand, it uses over-the-top language, it may not be the perfect fit, unless you have an equally good command of the language.
  2. Use example and case studies – It is easier to understand law terminologies and how they work via examples and case studies. If the books use a gracious amount of important case studies and examples, it can make the deal.
  3. Reviewed by experts – Typically you would want the AIBE reference material to be reviewed by law experts.
  4. Contain few to no errors – If the book is riddled with grammatical errors, it can make reading a nuisance. Add to that, if there are also factual errors, it can literally upend your exam preparation. So, go for books that are grammatically and factually correct.
  5. Follow the AIBE syllabus – If the books don’t follow the AIBE XX 2025 exam syllabus, there is no point wasting time and money on them.
  6. Are interactive – Good books are never dull. Because they will use various elements, including infographics, to keep you hooked.

Q3. Why and when should I solve AIBE previous year’s question papers?

Answer – It is highly recommended that candidates solve AIBE previous year’s question papers for effective exam preparation.

The exercise will help you understand the exam pattern, question types, and difficulty level. By practicing these papers, you can identify repeated topics and focus on high-weightage areas.

You can also improve time-management and problem-solving skills by solving AIBE sample papers and previous years question papers.

You can start solving these papers 3-4 months before the exam to assess your preparation and address weak areas. Regular practice with past papers will familiarize you with the format and reduce exam-day anxiety.

To cut a long story short, it’s a key step to maximize your chances of success in the AIBE.

Q4. When was the AIBE exam conducted for the 1st time?

Answer – The All India Bar Examination conducted the AIBE exam for the 1st time in 2011. The exam has been held every year ever since.

Q5: Do I need to get enrolled as an advocate with a State Bar Council to appear in the AIBE exam?

Answer – As per a BCI notification dated 25.9.2024, it is not mandatory to get enrolled with a State Bar Council to appear in the AIBE exam.

Q5: How does an advocate become eligible to enrol with a State Bar Council as an advocate?

Answer – To enroll with a State Bar Council, the person must hold a legal degree and be an Indian citizen. He or she must also pay an enrollment fee.

The enrollment application will then be reviewed by the enrollment committee, which will either approve or reject it.

If rejected, the National Bar Council and other State Bar Councils will be informed, along with the reasons for the decision. The applicant has the right to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court or the High Court if they wish to challenge the Bar Association’s ruling.

Q6. What is the minimum percentage required in graduation (3-year or 5-year LLB) to appear in the AIBE exam?

Answer – BCI hasn’t prescribed any minimum marks or percentage for appearing in the AIBE exam. So, candidates who have completed their graduation (3 year or 5 year LLB degree) are eligible for the AIBE exam.

However, the candidate must meet the minimum percentage or other requirements set by their respective university for graduation.

Answer – The AIBE 2025 exam syllabus is prescribed by the BCI. The syllabus to a large extent mirrors the syllabus followed by law schools for their 3-year and 5-year LLB programs.

The emphasis of the AIBE exam will be on:
